Common All India Entrance Test (CET) for Bank Jobs (PO & Clerical)

The common entrance examination for the candidates has been approved by the government of India. This entrance examination is conducted in recruiting students who are willing to work for the betterment and who aspire to join any regional rural banks all over India. The examination is been served to captivate the knowledge and ability of the students and to qualify them for the clerical entrance test.

Eligibility

  • The students need to have their bachelor’s degree from the recognized university or recognized institute.
  • The students need to have their bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • The candidate can be a citizen from India, Nepal or Bhutan.
  • The students having their 10+2 from any discipline with 60% marks in the equivalent subjects.
  • The students, who are giving their final year examination, can also apply for the same.
  • The age criteria should be in between 18-30 years.

Syllabus

  • The syllabus for the written examination consists of General awareness, English language, logical reasoning, computer awareness and Quantitative aptitude.
  • The students are also supposed to write an article in the English language.
  • The English language consists of Vocabulary, comprehension, Error detection and rearrangement, grammar usage and general detection.
  • The logical reasoning syllabus consists of Verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
  • The numerical ability consists of Arithmetic and data interpretation.

Pattern

  • The exam pattern consists of a written examination and an interview test.
  • The first round is a written examination that includes a complete syllabus of 250 marks.
  • The written examination consists of negative marking.
  • This examination is taken twice in a year.

How to Apply

  • The students who meet the above criteria can fill the application forms that are given at the department’s website www.ibps.in.
  • The students should send the application forms with the attested certificate copies of their documents on the address prescribed in the application forms.
  • The students should also send cash of Rs 450/- or they can also send DD of Rs 450.
  • This needs to be sent on the address mentioned in the brochure
