Indian Council of Agricultural Research - All Indian Entrance Exam for Admission

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, India is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture, government of India.

Eligibility

Age: Not less than 19 years at the time of admission
Qualifying Examination:
Aspirants should have a Bachelor's degree (or appearing in final year examination), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Forestry, Agri. Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 years degree programmes In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks For admission in M.V.Sc. programmes, the candidate must have completed B.V.Sc./ B.V.Sc. & A.H. with Internship. The in-service candidates, seeking admission to ICAR-Deemed-to-be universities, should see the respective University's website for further details.

Syllabus

AIEEA PG consists of question from the Major subject chosen by the candidates in the graduation examination.

Pattern

The test has only one question paper in each major subject group consisting of 150 multiple-choice, objective type questions, and also 10 cross-matching type questions. The question papers will be in English. For each incorrect answer in, one mark will be deducted from the total score, while for each incorrect cross matching type sub-question/pairing, 0.2 marks will be deducted from the total score.
