The Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Odisha, conducts the common entrance test for all the Professional diploma courses offered in the Government and Private Engineering Schools & Polytechnics of the State. The entrance exam is a way to provide admission to candidates through a centralised procedure on basis of merit.
Eligibility
Age as at the time of admission should at least 14 years for First semester diploma courses and at least 16 years for First semester diploma courses
The candidate should have cleared 10+2 examination of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa or equivalent exam, with a score of 50% aggregate
Syllabus
The syllabus is based on courses of studies in Mathematics & Science (Physics & Chemistry) for H.S.C. Examination, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
Pattern
The exam has a single question paper with 100 marks. Candidates have to complete the test in 2.5 hours. There are objective questions with multiple choice answers. Each correct answer gets a score of 4 marks, and each incorrect answer gets a negative score of -1 mark.
